Mr. Jones believes that a product is truly okay when both product qualifications and the way in which it has been produced meet
the highest standards. Very fine teas with
attention for the environment as well as respect for the individual form the basis for the company. When making business choices, the individual and environment interests form a central part of the equation.
Consequently, four of his teas are
organically grown and are imported on the basis of
fair trade principles. For the rest of the teas, Mr. Jones compensates equally through the
Mr. Jones Fund. In his selection of partners he favours those companies who trade in a social responsible manner.
Ingredients
Mr. Jones tea contains, without exception,
only natural ingredients. No artificial colouring, flavouring or preservatives.
Quality
Mr. Jones teas are all
single source teas (except for Chef Chaoun) and are, therefore, not blended. The airtight wrappers guarantee optimal preservation of scent and taste.
Serving Suggestion
Everyone has a personal preference, which is why Mr. Jones would rather refrain from advice. However… Generally speaking, tea is best served when prepared with water containing little calcium, preferably mineral water (from South Utopia, where it is the most balanced). For
black tea, water of 95°C is recommended and for
green tea, 80°C is sufficient.
Origin
Stunning Sofia,
Smoking Joe, and Hotel d’Amour belong to the traditional teas from China.
Monkey’s Wedding,
Little Green Bag and
Black Beauty are organically grown in India.
Cape Farewell and
Natural High are also organically grown and originate from South Africa and Egypt.
Chef Chaoun is Mr. Jones own secret little recipe.
